Anilag Festival 2024 in Laguna: Tuloy-tuloy ang Saya!
True to its theme this year, “Tuloy-tuloy ang Saya. Tara na sa Laguna,” Anilag Festival was packed with contests and activities for the public to enjoy.
The festival begun with a Heritage Fluvial Parade from Pakil to Quezon Bridge. Simultaneously, a Parish Saints/Marian Procession was held in Santa Cruz. Residents, local government employees, and municipal politicians all attended a Thanksgiving Mass as well.
Throughout the week-long festival, the province government set up a variety of trade booth for job seekers and businessmen. Additionally, they displayed products from various Laguna towns, showcasing the skills of the Lagunenses.
Anilag Festival also included a variety of events such as the Hair and Makeup Artistry Competition, Obrang Hardin, the Fruits and Vegetables Carving Competition, and the Event Supplier Wedding Expo.
Younger generations brushed up their skills in taking photos and doing reels for the Photography Competition and Tiktok Challenge.
Anilag Festival is also not complete without Sagala, Fashion Designers Competition, Street Dancing Competition, Cheerleading Competition.
Spectators around the province also cheered on their representatives in Ginoo at Binibining Laguna 2024.
To cap the wonderful festival, the Provincial Government spearheaded the People’s Night Extreme and Fireworks Display. The event was a success, as approximately 120,000 Lagunenses sang their hearts out to the various bands’ performances onstage.
Before the event started, Governor Hernandez addressed the crowd and expressed gratitude for the unwavering support of his constituents in making the festival another unforgettable celebration of Laguna’s colorful history, rich culture and tradition.
