1 day of making an impact, Earth Hour 2022. Amidst the covid pandemic and all other challenging moments, the 26th of March 2022 has finally come where everyone around the world is doing its part in making a difference in protecting the planet and addressing environmental challenges.
Camella Negros Oriental is one of the few that took part of the said movement. Every homeowners of the community are encouraged to participate to show their support for climate action. It was a whole day celebration, commenced by an open house and open mic where we have invited sellers to celebrate with us. In the afternoon, we organized a Zumba activity, sportsfest, hand printing on the wall, message board, and games both for the homeowners and the sellers to enjoy. Moving forward, as the clock struck to 8:30 pm, this is where the highlight of the activity begins – the iconic switching off of lights.
Earth Hour gives us the time to come together in solidarity and unity. It reminded us to that we must work together and look after each other to protect the one home we all share. It was more than just an hour of turning off the lights – it showed us that we can all play a part in saving the planet, that even the simplest form of help, we can all make a real difference.
